Public works (and construction): The economic sector for construction and public works includes all the conception and construction activities on public and private buildings, whether industrial or not, and on infrastructures such as roads and pipelines. The sector for Construction and Public Works is one of the top industries in France. Applied to acrobatic and rope access works, the construction and public works more specifically refer to rehabilitation, maintenance and securing operations of public and private structures, often on roads that require development work and rock fall protection for example.
