GLOSSARY FOR ACROBATIC AND ROPE ACCESS WORKS

Glossary for acrobatic works and rope access works
Definition : Carcass work

Carcass work : The carcass work on a structure involves the construction of its structure, generally with reinforced concrete or metal, but also with wood, stone, brick and sometimes laterite mud. The carcass work starts with the delivery of the deep foundations and earthworks. The frame of the structures is generally divided into vertical and horizontal elements (the first elements are the walls, poles for the buildings and piers for bridges / the latter are the mats, beams, floors, landings, balconies for buildings and decks for bridges). Cranes are used to supply zones of the site with construction materials, and to shift tools and machinery. In order to meet cost effective requirements, a construction site must optimize its work planning, tools and personnel costs.
